27 people have applied to be NPP’s Research and Elections Officer in the Oti Region.
Speaking to the Regional Secretary elect, Mr. Jonathan Akpabe, disclosed that “a lot of people are lobbying for various positions in the NPP party in the Oti region”.
He said, Forty-six (46) applications have been received so far and out of the number, twenty-seven(27) are seeking to be the NPP Oti regional research and election officer.
Five (5) are for Communications Officer,4 for Deputy Nasara Coordinator, 3 for Deputy youth Organizer,3 for Deputy Organizer, 3 seeking to be the Deputy Women’s Organizer and one for Financial Secretary.
He again said these positions are not to be elected base on the party’s Constitution so they can use it to balance the Executives in terms of geographical and tribal areas after the Regional Elections where the party has no Executives.
Mr. Jonathan Akpabe was the Research and Elections Officer until he was elected into a new office as the Regional Secretary for NPP in Oti region.
He claims to have made his former position attractive and therefore not surprised, ”with the number of people lobbying to be the Research and Elections Officer in the region”.
