The second-largest continent in the world, Africa, hosts a number of diverse and unique cultures. From the East to the West, North to South, and to the Centre, you will find many interesting cultural destinations that leave you amazed while experiencing the beauty of human civilization.

1 . To begin with, SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa is among the best cultural destinations on the continent. The country is proud of the diversity of culture it has. The Nguni, Sotho, Shangaan-Tsonga, and Venda are the four major ethnic groups in the country.
The Nguni tribe of South Africa is a group of citizens that speak Bantu and it comprises the Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele, and Swazi people. One of the capital cities in South Africa, Cape Town is the oldest modern European city and has some beautiful buildings and landscapes to behold. The members of the city bind themselves in the spirit of Ubuntu- which means togetherness.
The Zulu dance is one of South Africa’s most popular dances, which is danced by everybody, whether married or not. The country boast of wonderful leaders like Nelson Mandela who led them to independence.
2 . Secondly, NAMIBIA
Namibia is a very beautiful country with a rich cultural heritage. The languages spoken in the country include English, German, Afrikaans, Setswana, Oshiwambo, and many more.
The Ovambo’s are the largest ethnic group in Namibia and they are found in the Northern part of Namibia. They constitute 49.5% of the country’s population and speak the Bantu language.
Whereas, the Kavangos make up the second-largest ethnic group in the country. Some of the festivals celebrated by the Namibians are Herero Day, Küste Karneval, Lusata Festival, Oruuano of Namibia Arts Festival, as well as Oktoberfest.
3 . Also, MOROCCO
Morocco can be found in northern Africa and holds a rich cultural heritage. The country is well known for its souks which sell a variety of items from Spices to colorful fabrics.
The main ethnic group in the country is the Arab-Berbers who constitute the largest percentage of the population.
Some interesting cultural festivals of the Moroccans are the International Nomad Festival, the Almond Blossom Festival, as well as the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music. Also, one popular dance of the people is the shikhat dance, a belly dance that has them moving their waist to the rhythmic music playing in the background.
4 . Last but not least, TANZANIA
Tanzania can be found in the East of Africa and has a lot of amazing landforms, which include wilderness, mountains, some islands, as well as beaches. Some of the ethnic groups they have are the Sukuma who make up the largest ethnic group and the Chaggas.
