Executive Council of the Ghana FA has dissolved the Management Committee of the Black Stars with immediate effect following Ghana’s shambolic showing at the 2021 AFCON.
The decision comes following a marathon meeting held with the Ministry of Youth and Sports last Friday.
The management committee, chaired by former Kotoko CEO George Amoakoh, has received bashing from Ghanaians following Ghana’s elimination from the tournament.
The 4-member committee has been blamed for their decision for the Ghana team to pitch camp in Qatar where weather and climatic conditions were different from Cameroon where the 2021 AFCON tournament was staged.
According to a statement from the Ghana FA, a newly constituted Management Committee will be announced in the coming days.
