Leaked pictures of Lionel Messi in a Paris Saint-Germain kit have emerged online ahead of his official unveiling.
Messi has undergone his medical ahead of completing his stunning switch to PSG.
He’s been mobbed by fans in Paris, with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner strutting his stuff on the Parc des Princes turf, presumably for content for his announcement.
The former Barcelona man was decked out in his new team’s colours. It will take some time to get used to seeing him in PSG’s blue.
The picture below also confirms Messi will wear the number 30 shirt at PSG, despite Neymar reportedly offering his number 10 shirt.
Lionel Messi’s Eye-Watering PSG Contract Has Been Leaked
| Last updated
Following Lionel Messi‘s blockbuster move to the French capital, details of his lucrative Paris Saint-Germain contract have been leaked.
After ending his 21-year association with his beloved Barcelona, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner joined PSG in one of the most high-profile player moves of the summer transfer window.
Incredibly, the 34-year-old’s contract has since been leaked by French publication L’Equipe, with their report claiming that the Argentine will see him earn as much – if not more – than team-mates Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
It has been revealed that Messi will earn an eye watering net salary of €110m (£94m) over the next three seasons should he stay at the club.
Messi will pocket €30m (£25.6m) this season and €40m (£34.1m) over the following two campaigns before his contract expires in 2024. Not too shabby that, eh?
The former Barcelona man was willing to cut his salary by 50 per cent which would have seen him earn a net €30m per season at the Catalan giants.
Those wages, though, would still have been too high under La Liga’s financial fair play regulations which is what led to his departure from the club at the end of his last contract.
Messi did not receive any transfer bonus when he made the move to PSG, however, it is believed that he will receive a loyalty bonus that would equate to €15m (£12.8m) per year.
Since completing his move to the Ligue 1 side, he has also linked up with a cryptocurrency website which will see him earn an additional sum of up to €30m over the duration of his contract.
This partnership is the most lucrative sponsorship for the club apart from those that appear on their match and training shirts.
It didn’t take long for Messi mania to grip supporters of the club, too, with the club shop selling out of the forward’s replica top just minutes after his confirmation was announced.

PSG Told They Were ‘Better Off’ Without Lionel Messi And Are Now A Weaker Team
Michael Owen has claimed Paris Saint-Germain are now a weaker team after signing Lionel Messi.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner made his first start for PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night in their 1-1 draw with Club Brugge.
Messi lined up alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in attack, but none of the trio managed to have an impact.
Owen told BT Sport that he isn’t convinced PSG are frontrunners for the competition despite their strength up top.
He said: “As much as we drool over them, this PSG team with those forwards, they’re all phenomenal players in their own right.
“But three together makes it weaker for me and I don’t really understand why they’re one of the favourites for it (the Champions League). I think the English teams (Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United) are far, far superior.”
Messi isn’t the only big name to arrive in Paris this summer.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos and Gini Wijnaldum also arrived as free agents, while Achraf Hakimi was a £50 million purchase from Inter Milan.
Owen continued: “I almost feel as though the signing of the likes of Donnarumma and Sergio Ramos gives them more of a chance of winning it (the Champions League) than the signing of someone like Messi.”
Rio Ferdinand addressed the forward line, collectively dubbed ‘MNM’ by the media, highlighting what it’ll take for them to click.
“We’ve seen it from PSG,” Ferdinand replied. ‘There have been too many occasions when they haven’t worked hard enough. We watched them at Anfield, they were walking about. That’s the problem.
“I just believe that Messi coming here, Mbappe will be saying ‘I’ve got to show Messi what I’m about’. Neymar when he played at Barcelona with Messi, was a phenomenal runner off the ball.
“You’d like to think that can come back into their games.
“If it does, it’s going to be difficult for everybody else. That’s a big if.”
PSG are in Group A alongside Manchester City and Pep Guardiola’s side currently top the group.
They ran out dominant 6-3 winners against RB Leipzig.
City and PSG will clash in one of the group stage’s biggest games on September 28.
Do you agree with Owen’s comments? Are PSG weaker as a whole with Lionel Messi?

Lionel Messi Is Looking At Moving Into A Castle Near Paris Which Is Worth £41 Million
| Last updated
Lionel Messi could reportedly move into a castle near Paris following his blockbuster transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi has been staying at the Royal Monceau with his family since moving to France.
But his wife, Antonella, is on the hunt for a permanent residence and appears to have narrowed down her perfect home.
Reports claim Antonella has viewed the castle, but will look at it again with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner before making a final decision.
The player could be swayed by the fact that it’s just 15 minutes away from the club’s training ground.
Former France President Charles De Gaulle also stayed at the property for three days in 1940 during World War II.
Messi, meanwhile, is in line to make his home PSG debut on Sunday when his side face Lyon.

Incredible Video Of ‘How To Stop Lionel Messi’ Silences His Haters, He Ruins Every Elite Team’s Plan
An incredible video of ‘how to stop Lionel Messi’ has gone viral and it proves nobody has come up with a definitive answer.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar is widely regarded as one of football’s greatest ever and he’s won a slew of trophies.
Many have wondered if there’s a true way to stop him having an impact, with @Magical_Messi‘s video cataloguing everyone who tried.
The video opens with a tongue-in-cheek Jose Mourinho joking about a player he ‘forgot the name of’ before quipping ‘ah yes, Messi’.
“When Messi has the ball, one on one, you are dead, with a football he is impossible to stop.”
Rio Ferdinand is next up and when asked how to stop the six-time Ballon d’Or winner international, he replied: “I was in a team that tried it a couple of times and it didn’t come off!
“Other than GBH (Grievous bodily harm) I don’t know at the moment, but he’ll be in the conversation of the best players to ever play football.
“He’s someone who there’s no individual who can deal with him, it’s a team effort you need two or three players around him.”
One manager who knows Messi’s brilliance perhaps better than anyone is Pep Guardiola.
The current Manchester City boss managed Barcelona for three years, armed with Messi, and they won two Champions League crowns in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
Guardiola has come up against Messi as manager of Bayern Munich and City in recent years.
His grand plan? It amounts to nothing more than keeping the ball away from him.
While manager of Bayern he said: “There is neither a coach or defense to stop him, he’s too good.
