The Management of Hearts of Oak has named a new technical team to steer the affairs of the club ahead of the upcoming season.
Hearts of Oak's management has named a new technical team to oversee the club's operations ahead of the upcoming season.
The appointment comes on the heels of the recent dismissal of Coach David Ocloo, who was relieved of his duties due to poor performance.
According to a club statement, the newly appointed technical team will not only seek to transform the senior side, but will also be in charge of the club's junior and female sides.
Rene Hiddink, the Dutch coach, would take over as Technical Director, while Jerry Adjei Asare would oversee goalkeeping.
Sebastian Barnes has been named Head of Scouting, while Carlos Klu will oversee the club's welfare.
Mercy Tagoe, a former Black Queens coach, will now take over as Head Coach of Hearts of Oak's female team, hoping for success with the rainbow ladies.
It was stated that management is hopeful that these changes will have a positive impact on the club as the new season begins.
“The Board and management would like to take this opportunity to appeal to all followers of the club to offer their unflinching support to them and the team so together we will work for the collective interest of the team as we prepare for the new football season,” it said.
The team's management also announced that pre-season would begin on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
