The Mid-Year Fiscal Policy Review of the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2023 Financial Year will be presented to Parliament tomorrow, Monday, July 31, 2023, in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
The presentation will provide an update on the implementation of the 2023 budget as well as insights into the first half of the year's economic and fiscal performance.
It will also go over policies put in place to stabilize the economy, promote growth, and protect the vulnerable.
This is stated in a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance. The presentation, according to the release, would outline the critical imperatives for restoring macroeconomic stability and accelerating economic transformation.
The release stated that structural reforms in expenditure commitment control and arrears clearance, debt management, financial stability, and a growth agenda would be highlighted.
"In line with past practice," the release continued, "we wish to indicate that the government will engage in post-budget engagements to explain the various policy choices to the public."
