The Church of Pentecost has etched its name in the annals of Ghanaian history with the start of the National Development Conference, a two-day gathering to chart a course for Ghana's future growth and progress.

The conference, held at the renowned Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) in Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa, has brought together Ghanaians from all walks of life, including political leaders, dignitaries, and citizens passionate about the nation’s development. At the heart of this historic occasion is a call from the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, who has urged Ghanaians to look beyond their individual interests and prioritize the nation’s welfare for the betterment of future generations.

With the theme “Moral Vision and National Development,” the conference seeks to instill the importance of upholding moral principles in every facet of Ghana’s progress. Apostle Nyamekye’s stirring exhortation at the event on the topic: “Righteousness Exalts A Nation” emphasized the necessity for leaders and citizens alike to focus on the long-term prosperity of the nation rather than short-term gains. He urged against self-serving leadership and called for a united effort towards a stronger, more prosperous Ghana. Drawing inspiration from biblical teachings, he stressed that the success or failure of any leader hinges on the character and confidence of the people they serve.

Throughout the conference, esteemed speakers from various disciplines will discuss critical topics relevant to the nation’s advancement. From moral vision and development to leadership, human flourishing, and effective political governance, the conference seeks to foster a comprehensive understanding of the essential factors for Ghana’s growth and development.

The presence of notable figures, including Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, former presidents H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, and H.E. John Dramani Mahama, adds significance and national importance to the event. The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin, and the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Gertrude, Justice A. E. Torkonoo, along with other distinguished guests, contribute to the spirit of unity and collaboration present at the conference. In his fraternal greetings, Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, the President of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), commended The Church of Pentecost for organizing such a momentous and transformative conference focused on the moral vision and development of the nation.

The call for integrity, equality, and ethical conduct resonates strongly with the attendees, and it is hoped that a communiqué will be issued after the conference, outlining the collective vision and direction for Ghana’s future growth. As Ghanaians from all corners of the country gather to deliberate on the nation’s path forward, the National Development Conference embodies unity, hope, and a commitment to building a prosperous Ghana for future generations.
