German-born Ghanaian duo Jamie Leweling and Gideon Jung have suffered relegation from the Bundesliga with Greuther Furth.
The Bundesliga officially came to an end over the weekend as the final round of games took place on Saturday.
The Cloverleaves finished at the basement of the Bundesliga table after amassing just 18 points from 34 games.
Furth won 3 games, drew 9, and lost a whopping 22 – scoring 28 goals and conceding 82.
Leweling, 21, scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in 33 games for Furth in the campaign while Jung – a former Hamburg SV midfielder played just 5 times for the club.
Meanwhile, Kevin-Prince Boateng’s Hertha Berlin will play in the playoffs after finishing in 16th place.
Leweling was handed a Black Stars call up in November 2020 but he rejected the invitation to focus on features for the German U21 side.
